The Jenx Ly-on is all about meeting the challenge of properly positioning children with complex special needs and/or medical needs, on various height levels and tilt angles.
The Ly-on offers the perfect platform, with accessories and adjustments, to tool-lessly and smoothly attain the correct postures for completing a host of daily tasks and necessities.
The Ly-on by Jenx consists of an astonishingly versatile base or support platform, with a highly adjustable height range, which will accommodate anything from floor based activities to situations where even the tallest carer wishes to stand up and engage with the special needs child.
Height adjustment is easily achieved, even with the child in place, with the help of an easy-to-use hydraulic pump.
Numerous support blocks and straps in every shape and size will accommodate a huge array of complex body shapes and unique diagnoses, while 15 degrees of tilt in either direction will facilitate the adjustment of weight distribution to aid in optimal pressure management.
What’s more, this tilt function will also facilitate therapeutic drainage and correct positioning in order for the carer to administer enteral or tube feeding to the special needs child, in a way that optimises digestion and keeps the child perfectly comfortable.
Support blocks and straps can also be custom made, for those special needs children who have more uncommon body shapes or requirements.
A nifty accessories cart can be fixed onto the device so that the carer or therapist needn’t go ‘hunting’ for bits, bobs, straps and blocks through the course of the day…saving time and saving smiles.
The Ly-on is finished in ultra-comfortable, breathable fabric that’s hygienically wipeable and can also be removed for thorough washing.
A clip-in-place activity frame and tablet holder will allow for hours of entertainment or distraction for children who require extended periods of recline, as well as whilst they are receiving their enteral feed or undergoing therapeutic drainage.
Last but not least, padded, fold down sides not only provide a secure environment for the special needs patient but also a means of easy engagement with the carer and hassle free access during transfer.
Standard base includes 4 braking castors (1 direction lockable), hydraulic lift action, tilt in space, fold down side rails, 4 side walls in green vinyl, end bumpers in green vinyl, memory foam topped lying surface, 1 hook receptive sheet, 10 hook tabs to hold receptive sheet, push handle.
